OUR BELIEFS
We believe that the Bible, both the Old and New Testaments, is the Word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit in the original manuscripts, and that it is our basis and authority in faith and conduct.
(2 Timothy 3:16-17, 2 Peter 1:19-21, Romans 15:4)
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
(Matthew 28:19, John1:1-4, John 14:26, 2 Corinthians 13:14)
We believe in Jesus Christ, God’s only Son, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary, and is both God and man. We believe in His sinless life, miracles and teachings.
(John 1:1-14, John 20:31, 2 Corinthians 5:21)
We believe that Jesus Christ died for our sins as a sacrifice in our place, and that all who trust in Him are justified and saved from sin, condemnation and spiritual death through His shed blood.
(1 Corinthians 15:3)
We believe that those who turn from sin and receive by faith the Lord Jesus Christ are born again of the Holy Spirit and become children of God, with the promise of eternal life.
(John1:12-13, 3:3, 16-17, Acts 20:21, Titus 3:5-6)
We believe that the Holy Spirit is at work in the world. It is the Holy Spirit who shows us our needs (convicts us), who gives life (regenerates), who teaches, and who gives power, strength, and guidance.
We believe in the Church, the living spiritual “body,” of which Christ is the head and all believers are members. We believe in the local church congregation, where grace is worked out through instruction, worship, edification, baptism, evangelism, fellowship, and work.
(Matthew 16:16-18, Ephesians 2:19-22, Matthew 28:18-20)
We believe in the practice of water baptism of believers, the Lord’s Supper as a remembrance of His death for us, and the dedication of infants.
OUR VALUES
We are called to be a light for Jesus Christ in the world. (Matthew 5:16)
We provide a Christian community for people to come and feel welcomed and valued. (Matthew 11:28)
We help those in need in spiritual and practical ways. (James 1:27)
We are devoted to the authority of the Holy Scriptures in all matter of faith and practice. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
We seek to make disciples, as Jesus commanded us to do. (Matthew 28:19-20)
We joyfully gather on Sunday mornings for Spirit-led worship and the preaching of God’s Word.
We place great importance in the gathering together in small groups, for mutual edification, accountability and building friendships. (John 1:1-14, John 20:31, 2 Corinthians 5:21)
